Nissan Patrol NISMO launched in the Middle East
The Nissan Patrol NISMO has made its official debut earlier this week in the Middle East. It’s a higher performance version of the full-size SUV unveiled at a special event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to celebrate the introduction of the NISMO brand in the Middle East where Nissan has plans to sell NISMO-prepared versions of the 370Z and GT-R as well. The SUV has received an upgraded version of the V8 5.6-liter engine that now churns 428 bhp, so it’s 28 bhp more powerful than before. We don’t know how much torque the engine generates, but in stock configuration it has 560 Nm and Nissan says this new version offers the torque across more than 70% of the rev range.
Besides receiving a more powerful heart, the Nissan Patrol NISMO also has a sporty body kit, beefier exhaust system and 22-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels. It benefits from a special suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers while NISMO’s engineers have also worked on the steering. There are some interior cabin tweaks, including a red finish for the rev counter and other minor tweaks to make this version stand out from the regular non-NISMO.
It’s unclear at this point whether Nissan will sell the Patrol NISMO only in the Middle East or they plan to expand availability.
