Opel launches Corsa 1.4 Turbo with 150 HP
Opel has unveiled the Corsa 1.4 Turbo which will be offered as a 3- and 5-door hatchback. Just like the name implies, it’s powered by a four-cylinder 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 150 HP (110 kW) and a maximum torque of 220 Nm (162 lb-ft). The motor is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox which allows the supermini to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 8.9 seconds on its way onto a top speed of 128 mph (207 km/h). Opel says the model has a fuel consumption of 5.9 liters / 100 km (39.8 mpg US or 47.8 mpg UK), with corresponding CO2 emissions of 136 g/km.
The Opel Corsa 1.4 Turbo carries a starting price of €17,380 at home in Germany and at an additional cost can be equipped with an optional Turbo Plus package which adds faux carbon fiber mirror caps, different side skirts and front & rear spoilers. On the inside it gains an OPC Line sports steering wheel, black leather-wrapped gearshift knob and handbrake lever, while Recaro sport seats are available at an additional cost.
