Porsche 911 GTS breaks cover
Porsche is introducing the 911 GTS which can be had both as a coupe and convertible and with either a RWD or AWD layout. All of them come equipped with 20-inch center-locking wheels featuring a matte black look, wider rear fenders, black engine vents, tinted bi-xenon headlights and a sports exhaust system featuring black chrome-plated tailpipes. On the inside there is a combination of leather and Alcantara on the sport seats while just about all the cabin has been wrapped around in Alcantara.
Motivation is provided by a six-cylinder 3.8-liter engine outputting 430 HP (316 kW) which connected to the PDK gearbox allows the 911 GTS Coupe do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4 seconds whereas the convertible is 0.2s slower. Regardless of the selected configuration, all 911 GTS versions have a top speed of more than 186 mph (300 km/h), with the 911 GTS Coupe being the fastest as it can hit 190 mph (306 km/h) when working with the manual gearbox and a rear-wheel drive setup.
All cars will be fitted as standard with the Sport Chrono package as well as the PASM active damper system lowering the ride height by 10mm.
Sales of the model are programmed to commence next month and at home in Germany the Porsche 911 GTS carries a starting price of 117,549 euros (VAT included).
