The production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder has become the fastest road-legal vehicle to complete a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. It did it 6 minutes and 57 seconds with Porsche factory race driver Marc Lieb driving the supercar on the famous 20.6 km-long circuit. This result has smashed the previous record held until now by the Gumpert Apollo Sport with a time of 7 minutes and 11 seconds. Marc Lieb managed to achieve an impressive average speed of more than 179.5 km/h (111 mph). The supercar will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in a mind-blowing 2.8 seconds en route to a top speed of 214 mph (345 km/h).
