Porsche Cayman GT4 revealed with 385 HP
The Porsche Cayman GT4 has been unveiled online this week and it will make its first public appearance in Geneva next month. Sitting on top of the Cayman range, the new GT4 adopts a more aggressive body with a reworked front splitter and mesh grille inserts while the side profile shows new scoops. As far as the rear end is concerned, we notice a new fixed rear wing as well as a larger spoiler while the dual exhaust system has been mounted in the center. It sits 30mm lower than the regular Cayman while the stopping power comes from a high performance braking system sourced from the 911 GT3.
Motivation comes from a flat-six 3.8-liter engine developing 385 HP (283 kW) sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. It allows the Porsche Cayman GT4 to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 183 mph (295 km/h). According to Porsche, the model has managed to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 40 seconds.
At an additional cost, the model can be equipped with carbon fiber reinforced plastic seats, carbon ceramic brakes as well as a Sport Chrono Package featuring a Track Precision app. The model is already available on order in Germany where it carries a starting price of €85,779. You can also get it in United States from $84,600, without taking into account the extra $995 destination charge. American customers will start receiving their cars in July.
