Porsche launches Cayman Black Edition
Porsche has taken the wraps off the Cayman Black Edition which will act as a last hurrah for the pre-facelift model. It’s a known fact that when Porsche comes out with a Black Edition of one of its models, it means the car in question will be replaced and this time we are talking about the Cayman coupe which will be facelifted in 2016 when it will receive a newly developed flat-four turbocharged gasoline engine. Getting back to the car at hand, it wears an all-black paint and rides on Carrera Classic 20-inch alloy wheels while the headlights employ bi-xenon technology. The vehicle comes generously equipped with front & rear parking sensors, auto-dimming mirrors and rain-sensing wipers.
There’s not much going on inside the cabin as it has been carried over from the standard model, but you do get a Sport Design steering wheel, black partial leather sport seats that are heated in the front, along with a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with GPS navigation, Sound Package Plus, cruise control and dual-zone automatic climate control system.
Its heart and soul is the familiar 2.7-liter flat engine pushing out 275 PS (202 kW), all for the starting price of €59,596 in Germany where it’s now available on order.
