Porsche teases 2014 Macan exhaust note
Stuttgart-based automaker Porsche has released a teaser video for the Macan’s exhaust note, ahead of the car’s scheduled public debut for the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. The sub-Cayenne model has already been confirmed to have a fuel consumption between 6.1 liters / 100 km and 9.2 liters / 100 km, depending on the model, with corresponding CO2 emissions ranging from 159 g/km to 216 g/km. Porsche mentions “the engine is the heart of the Macan” but we still don’t know what power units will reside under the hood of Porsche’s crossover.
From what we heard so far, there will be a V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo developing somewhere in the region of 340 HP, along with a V6 3.6-liter outputting approximately 400 HP in the range-topping Macan Turbo S version.
