Radical RXC Turbo unveiled with 454 bhp
What we have here is a photo of the RXC Turbo unveiled this week by Radical Sportscars at 2014 Autosport International. It’s an evolution of last year’s RXC which has gained a Ford EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine packing no less than 454 bhp and 678 Nm of torque. With a curb weight of just 940 kg, it’s no wonder the RXC Turbo needs just 2.6s to get from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) before topping out at 185 mph (298 km/h). The vehicle measures 4300mm in length, 1960mm in width and 1127mm in height and rides on 17-inch cast alloys or optional forged wheels.
The EcoBoost power unit is mated to a 7-speed Quaife bespoke gearbox featuring paddle shifter. Stopping power is provided by the fully-floating disc brakes featuring six-pot calipers measuring 330mm at the front and 310mm at the back. The Radical RXC Turbo benefits from a carbon steel spaceframe chassis and has been fitted with a fully-adjustable steering wheel, FIA-eligible front and rear crash boxes, along with an air conditioning system and a heated windscreen.
Radical Sportscars is offering the RXC Turbo as a road-going model or as a track-only car, with both of them being priced at 129,000 pounds.
