Rare Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR AMG up for grabs
Mercedes-Benz only manufactured 25 units of the CLK GTR AMG, with 20 of the cars being coupes while the remaining 5 units were roadsters. What we see in these photos is a coupe with the chassis number #17 which is available on Jameslist.com and at the Ferrari-Maserati of Fort Lauderdale. The price of this rare road-legal car is $1,490,000 or approximately 1,118,031 euros. For this kind of cash the wealthy buyer gets a barely driven car with only 1,492 miles (2,401 km) on the odometer and looking in mint condition, as any supercar should look like. It was manufactured in 2000 and was way ahead of its time, featuring a carbon fiber monocoque with built-in steel roll bars.
Although it’s a radical performance-focused car, the CLK GTR AMG is fitted with comfort amenities such as an audio system, adjustable pedals, driver/passenger airbags and an air conditioning system. What’s the most important thing about this car is its huge V12 6.9-liter engine pumping out no less than 612 hp (456 kW) and a maximum torque of 539 lb-ft (731 Nm). This enables the supercar to reach a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
