RevoZport tunes the Volkswagen Golf 7 GTI
The seventh generation of the Volkswagen Golf GTI is now available with an aftermarket kit developed by the engineers at RevoZport. The biggest change can be found in the engine department where the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine has received a healthy power boost from the standard 230 HP (169 kW) to 290 HP (213 kW). The additional oomph was possible by remapping the engine’s ECU, installing a new induction system and also by replacing the stock stainless steel exhaust system with a new one made from titanium which tips the scales at 22 lbs (10 kg) so it’s more than 50 percent lighter.
Aside from infusing more power in the Golf VII GTI, RevoZport fitted the vehicle with a tasteful and subtle body kit that includes different side skirts, a new carbon fiber hood packing two vents, as well as a double-decked front splitter, underspolier, rear diffuser and a GT-type roof spoiler.
