Saleen is proud to introduce the 2014 George Follmer Edition Mustang which opens the road to the firm’s brand new Saleen Heritage Collection. This model has received its nameplate from the namesake driver who won the 1972 Can-Am and also participated in Formula 1 with the Shadow team a year later. He also raced in the Indianapolis 500 and in NASCAR’s Winston Cup so he was a very important race driver, especially during the 1960s and 1970s. The car you are seeing comes with 19-inch rims and is wearing a beautiful tri-color paintjob with cues from Follmer’s 1962 Boss 302.
At its heart is a naturally-aspirated V8 mill rated at around 470 bhp sent to the wheels with help from a 6-speed manual transmission. The vehicle also benefits from a custom exhaust system and a race-specification suspension featuring a watts linkage.
The vehicle is already available on order from $75,000, with deliveries commencing this fall.
