Shelby American has taken the wraps off the 50th Anniversary 427 Cobra which is programmed to go on sale later this month. It was developed to celebrate the model’s golden anniversary and is going to be offered exclusively with either an aluminum or a fiberglass body. Opt for the aluminum version and you will get the exterior with a polished aluminum finish whereas the fiberglass variant has a Guardsman Blue exterior paint scheme complemented by the Wimbledon White stripes. Moreover, the vehicles will be visually distinguished by their gold 50th anniversary badges and standard racing brakes.
The Shelby 50th Anniversary 427 Cobra rides on 15-inch wheels and comes with vinyl seats while other goodies offered include the custom gauges and a 50th anniversary car cover. Only 50 cars will ever be made and each will carry a starting price of $119,995 but keep in mind that for this money you won’t be getting an engine or a transmission.
Order books are set to open on January 13th at 11 AM (MST).
