Sin R1 road-legal production variant heading to Autosport International
Sin Cars has announced the R1 will be shown in road-legal production guise in January at the Autosport International show. The vehicle is going to be exhibited alongside the track only version. The version which you will be able to legally drive on public roads will be 529 lbs heavier than its race-spec sibling and will receive high-performance brake discs together with 19-inch rims, a tubular spaceframe chassis and a Formula 1-derived fuel tank. Sin Cars has announced the vehicle will be produced in a limited series and will carry a starting price of 60,000 pounds.
Its heart and soul is going to be a 6.2-liter V8 engine borrowed from General Motors which in this application will churn 525 HP. It will be enough to enable the Sin R1 to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds en route to a maximum speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).
