Subaru brings Impreza back to United Kingdom
The current generation of the Impreza has been on sale for roughly three years but only now Subaru has decided to introduce the model in UK. They say it will be available only in “small volumes” and will come with standard goodies such as 16-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, fog lights and automatic headlights. It has also been configured with a dual-zone climate control system, heated front seats and a leather-covered steering wheel. A standard rearview camera is also fitted while for more money you can order a Pioneer navigation system or leather upholstery.
Under the hood will be a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter engine outputting 114 HP and 150 Nm which can work with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a Lineartronic CVT. If you opt for the continuously variable transmission, the Subaru Impreza (UK-spec) will hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 12.6 seconds before topping out at 111 mph (178 km/h).
The model is programmed to go on sale in United Kingdom on May 1 from 17,495 pounds.
