Subaru releases pricing info for U.S.-spec 2014 WRX and WRX STI

Subaru is sticking with the current generation of the WRX / WRX STI for an additional year which means the all-new model will be sold as a 2015MY. The 2014 Subaru WRX can be had in a four- or five-door configuration from a starting price of $25,955. If you want the more powerful WRX STI, prepare to pay $34,495 for the four-door and $36,695 for the five-door. These prices do not include the extra $795 destination charges. Compared to the 2013MY, prices of the 2014 models have increased by $200 which we really don’t understand why since the cars haven’t gain additional power or equipment.

The 2014 Subaru WRX is motivated by a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine outputting 265 bhp and 244 lb-ft of torque. It works together only with a rather outdated five-speed manual transmission and the well-known Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive System. Opt for the STI version and you get 305 bhp, Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential and a six-speed manual transmission.
