Subaru unleashes WRX STI NBR Challenge with 340 HP
This is Subaru’s brand new WRX STI NBR Challenge which will take part in this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hour race as part of the SP3T class created for vehicles that have a 2.0-liter or less engine displacement. As a consequence, the racer is motivated by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 340 HP and providing a maximum torque of 461 Nm. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed sequential gearbox and an STI-spec metal clutch.
Aside from receiving a considerably more powerful engine than its road-going counterpart, this WRX STI NBR Challenge also comes with different front and rear bumpers, a prominent rear wing and carbon fiber canards. Other than that, it packs lightweight windows, a ventilated bonnet and features a track-tuned suspension. Stopping the 18-inch BBS wheels shod in Dunlop tires are the Brembo brakes.
