Take a look at an electric car hitting 204.2 mph
Electric vehicles are not known for being capable of reaching high speeds but if you take a Lola Le Mans prototype and turn it into an EV weighing less than 1,000 kg, you end with a zero-emission vehicle which can achieve an impressive top speed. Attached footage shows Drayson Racing’s Lola B12 69/EV driven by Paul Dryson at the racetrack at RAF Elvington in Yorkshire. He managed to achieve an impressive top speed of 204.2 mph (328.63 km/h), thus taking down the previous 175 mph (281.64 km/h) which was established by Battery Box General Electric back in 1974. This impressive EV will do 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 3 seconds, while 0-100 mph (0-161 km/h) is achieved in 5.1 seconds.
