Toyota launches RAV4 facelift in New York
Toyota has taken the wraps off the 2016 RAV4 facelift at the New York Auto Show. The facelifted crossover comes with a redesigned front fascia featuring a slender grille, angular lower air intake and updated headlights. It also benefits from new rocker panels, revised rear bumper and a slightly different liftgate while higher-end versions get silver skid plates. Toyota has prepared a fresh set of alloy wheels as well as new body colors: Electric Storm Blue, Black Currant Metallic and Silver Sky Metallic.
As far as the interior cabin is concerned, Toyota says the 2016 RAV4 facelift benefits from better materials, more soft touch plastics and a new shifter. It also comes with an updated instrument cluster, more 12V and USB outlets along with reconfigured cup holders that can now support taller mugs with handles.
Opt for the new SE model and you get a different front grille, sportier front bumper, LED headlights and taillights, 18-inch rims and a sport-tuned suspension. The 2016 RAV4 facelift has also received a gunmetal trim, black headliner, SoftTex seats, bespoke instrument cluster with red pointers along with steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters.
