Toyota has applied a subtle facelift on the Euro-spec Prius+ which originally came out at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and it’s the only seven-seater hybrid sold in Europe. We notice the revised front fascia equipped with LED headlights, a slightly different upper front grille as well as a more attractive trapezoidal lower grille that adopts a black metallic look. Toyota also altered the LED daytime running lights and the taillight design while the air intakes, rear bumper and license plate trim have also been updated. The 2015 Prius+ (Euro-spec) will come with new exterior hues such as Attitude Black mica and Dark Sherry metallic.
Moving inside the cabin, the vehicle has been fitted with a new standard 4.2-inch TFT screen, new dark silver metallic look on the driver’s switchgear and AC dial controls. Moreover, now there are chrome door handles and center console air vents, additional sound deadening material in the side of the rear compartment, along with updated damping force to ensure a smoother ride.
No further changes were made so the 2015 Toyota Prius+ will continue with a lithium-ion battery pack, 1.8-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine delivering 99 HP and working with an electric motor that grants an extra 81 HP to provide a combined output of 136 HP. It sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 11.3 seconds and has a top speed of 102 mph (165 km/h) while the combined fuel consumption stands at 4.1 liters / 100 km, with CO2 emissions of just 96 g/km.
