Toyota publishes UK pricing for 2013 Auris
The 2013 Toyota Auris will hit the UK dealerships in December at a base price tag of 14,495 pounds for the entry-level model while the high-end hybrid version will cost 21,745 pounds. Besides the hybrid configuration, Toyota sells the new Auris with two gasoline engines: a 1.33-liter Dual VVT-I and a larger 1.6-liter Valvematic. These two engines are going to be available at launch, along with a 1.4-liter D-4D diesel.
While the hybrid gets a CVT automatic gearbox, the conventional-powered versions get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The 1.6-liter gasoline engine can also be equipped with the aforementioned CVT. The car will be offered in four trim levels: Active, Icon, Sport and Excel.
The Active can be powered only by the 1.33-liter or the diesel unit, and comes with electric front windows, automatic air conditioning, LED DRLs, hill-start assist, four-speaker sound system with USB support. Icon adds a six-speaker audio system, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth, 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, all-around electric windows and a rear view camera.
The 2013 Toyota Auris in the Sport trim is fitted with 17-inch alloys, tinted rear windows, sports front seats and an updated grille. The top-spec Excel has a longer list of equipment as it packs keyless start and entry, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, park assist, part-leather heated front seats and automatic headlights.
