Toyota sends off FJ Cruiser with Trail Teams Ultimate Edition
Toyota has announced the FJ Cruiser will be discontinued and as a final hurrah they have introduced a Trail Teams Ultimate Edition this week in Las Vegas at 2013 SEMA. Toyota is characterizing the car as a “commemorative final special edition” wearing a unique Heritage Blue exterior paint scheme with a white front grille. It has received 16-inch bead lock alloy wheels shod in chunky BF Goodrich A/T KO tires. Other than that, the car also comes with a TRD off-road suspension, a roof rack and a TRD front skid plate. Inside it gets a stainless steel dash plaque, a multi-information screen and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Toyota plans on selling the FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Ultimate Edition only with a 4WD arrangement and will offer it with Vehicle Skid Control, Active Traction Control and Craw Control if you opt for the automatic transmission. Only 2,500 units will be made, and deliveries are expected to kick off in the United States sometime in February 2014.
