Toyota teases 2014 Aygo, debuts in Geneva
Japanese marque Toyota has released a teaser photo depicting the second generation of the Aygo city car which will be revealed in full on March 4 at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The new model was developed alongside the next generations of the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108 that will also be presented to the public for the first time at the Swiss show. The automotive media speculates Toyota’s new Aygo will be moved further upmarket so expect to find a more premium look for the exterior and batter materials within the cabin where there will be an infotainment system.
Under the hood will be just about the same three-cylinder engines you can find in today’s model but it is believed there won’t be any diesels. This presumption is based on Peugeot’s recent complain about the high costs of producing diesel engines in Europe that comply with the Euro 6 regulations.
The 2014 Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108 production will take place in Czech Republic.
