Toyota Yaris lineup expanded in UK
Toyota has announced this week that its UK lineup of the Yaris has gained two new members in the form of the Yaris Edition and Yaris Trend. The first one starts from 11,695 pounds, while the latter is a bit more expensive, with pricing beginning from 13,795 pounds. The Edition variant is based on the T2-Spec Toyota Yaris and is offered as standard with electric mirrors and windows. It also comes with 15-inch alloys, front fog lights, tinted windows, along with a leather and chrome interior trim. Under the hood of the Toyota Yaris Edition is the company’s 1.0-liter VVT engine that pumps out 68 hp. This power unit is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Yaris Edition is offered in both three- and five-door variants and for sale now.
Moving on to the Toyota Yaris Trend, this is based on the more expensive Yaris SR that as standard comes with part-leather upholstery, the Touch multimedia system developed by the Japanese automaker, as well as a lower-than-standard suspension setup. It rides on bigger 16-inch alloy wheels and has a chrome tailpipe trim and blacked-out C-pillars.
Under the hood of the Toyota Yaris Trend is a more powerful 1.33-liter VVT engine capable of producing 98 hp. This engine can be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a Multidrive S CVT gearbox. This version too is offered in 3- and 5-door guises and it’s on sale right now.
