Two Renault Zoes race on a Scalextric life-size track
Renault had a great idea to advertise its Zoe electric car and with help of some CGI they organized a race between two Zoes on what they say was a life-size Scalextric track. Although most of the race has been developed on computer, Renault says they actually built a 3 km long Scalextric circuit in downtown London, United Kingdom. Both cars received bespoke braids in order to keep them on track and two people who were in a helicopter controlled them from a joystick. A neat idea but the execution left a lot to be desired.
