Upcoming Ford F-150 rumored to get a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine
It seems that the all-new Ford F-150 due to be unveiled at the beginning of 2014 will be offered with a V6 EcoBoost engine. The vehicle will be introduced to the public in January at NAIAS in Detroit where most likely the Blue Oval company will announce a V6 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost gasoline engine rumored to output somewhere in the region of 320 bhp and a peak torque of 375 lb-ft. It will be slotted above the base model which will carry a 3.7-liter V6 outputting 300 bhp and 280 lb-ft. There will also be a beefier 5.0-liter V8 Coyote mill and a range-topping V6 3.5-liter EcoBoost motor.
These engines are rumored to work with a newly developed 10-speed automatic transmission in the 2015 Ford F-150 which will allegedly take design cues from the Atlas concept shown at 2013 NAIAS.
