Volkswagen announces one-off Golf GTI Performance for 2015 Worthersee debut
Volkswagen has announced to stage the world premiere of a unique Golf GTI Performance later this week at Wörthersee. It was transformed by 13 of the company’s apprentices who worked on a three-door white-painted version of the hot hatchback and applied a different body kit painted in a two-tone livery. Chances are the interior has received a series of modifications, but for the moment we don’t have any images with the cabin. We do notice the body’s finish has been matched with multi-spoke black and dark grey alloy wheels while behind them are yellow brake calipers.
Chances are some tweaks have been implemented underneath the hood where the regular Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance has a turbo 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine producing 230 PS and 350 Nm transferred to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed DSG. The standard version needs 6.4 seconds to cover the 0-100 km/h sprint and tops out at 250 km/h.
A full reveal of the Golf GTI Performance one-off is set for Thursday.
