The Volkswagen Golf is now available in United Kingdom in a new Match Edition that comes with additional standard equipment. You get £1,100 worth of added goodies for which you only pay an extra £100, so it’s a very good deal to have a lot of kit on your Golf such as a 6.5-inch Discover Navigation infotainment system, adaptive cruise control with front assist, along with a PreCrash preventive occupant protection and emergency braking. It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels featuring a “Dover” design and it also has front and rear parking sensors, automatic wipers, automatic-folding door mirrors with puddle lights and front fog lights.
As standard, the Volkswagen Golf Match Edition (UK-spec) benefits from an automatically dimming rearview mirror, Driver Profile Selection and the rest of the equipment you will get with a standard Golf such as 7 airbags, stop/start system with battery regeneration, ABS with ESC and an 8-speaker sound system.
The cheapest Golf Match Edition money can buy is the three-door featuring a 3-cylinder 1.0-liter turbo engine and a 6-speed manual which begins at £19,840 whereas the range-topping five-door 4-cylinder 2.0 TDI with 6-speed DSG starts at £24,840.
The order books have already opened and the first deliveries are programmed for January.
