Volkswagen Jetta facelift officially introduced

The facelifted Volkswagen Jetta has made its appearance online and later this week it will be publicly unveiled at the New York Auto Show. Looking a lot like the larger Passat, especially at the front, the 2015 Jetta can be optionally configured with bi-xenon headlights combined with LED daytime running lights. Opt for the GLI or Hybrid variant and the car will also come with LED taillights, while the entire body has been aerodynamically optimized through different underbody panels and the updated rain gutters near the A-pillars.

On the inside Volkswagen has used more chrome and piano black accents, while installing a redesigned multi-function steering wheel. Also part of the package are new fabric designs and colors, along with ambient lightning.

The 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine has received a 10 bhp bump so it now churns 150 bhp. The diesel engine coupled to the manual gearbox enable the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta facelift returns 32 mpg in the city, 45 mpg on the highway and 37 mpg in the combined cycle.
