Volkswagen has launched the 2016 Jetta GLI in United States with a series of cosmetic updates. It gets a lightly revised front fascia featuring a new honeycomb grille and modified fog lights while at the back there’s a new bumper with a diffuser and dual exhaust tips featuring a chrome look. Inside the cabin it benefits from the MIB 2 infotainment system and comes equipped as standard with the automatic post-collision braking system which will apply the brakes when the airbag sensors detect a collision.
The 2016 Jetta GLI SE has keyless access, LED taillights, rearview camera, dual-zone climate control system, heated seats, sunroof and a six-way power driver seat while the automatic headlights & wipers, Fender sound system, front & rear Park Distance Control are also part of the package. Go for the SEL trim and you also get navigation, HomeLink, blind spot detection with rear traffic alert along with adaptive bi-xenon headlights.
Motivation of the Volkswagen Jetta GLI is provided by a 210 bhp TSI 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine generating 207 lb-ft of torque channeled to the front axle via a 6-speed manual offered as standard while at an additional cost Volkswagen is also selling a dual-clutch 6-speed gearbox.
