Volkswagen has released images and preliminary details about a new concept called “Fox Pepper” which is programmed to make its public debut at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. They say it’s a “sporty and youthful” concept featuring a striking Red Tornado exterior paint scheme, plastic body cladding and a different front bumper compared to the regular Fox. In addition, the vehicle has a black roof, honeycomb front grille inserts and has been equipped with 15-inch rims. We don’t have pictures of the interior yet but according to Volkswagen there are two-tone leather seats, “Fox Pepper” badging and red air vents.
Also inside the cabin there’s an infotainment system equipped with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display providing support for GPS navigation. Under the hood it’s a four-cylinder 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 120 bhp (89 kW) when using ethanol. This is enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 9.8 seconds on its way to a maximum speed of 117 mph (189 km/h).
