Volkswagen’s UK division has recently launched a special edition of the Caddy to mark the 30th anniversary of the well-known model. Known as the Caddy “Edition 30”, this will be limited to only 117 units and all will be sold in the United Kingdom at a starting price of 17,660 pounds.
Compared to the regular variant, this limited-run version is distinguished by its 17-inch Budapest alloy wheels, fog lights, a Candy White exterior paint finish with a contrasting black roof as well as appealing body-color accents to spice up the styling of the utilitarian vehicle.
As far as the interior cabin is concerned, there aren’t a lot of changes going around but we should mention the support for Bluetooth connectivity, a steering wheel wrapped around in leather and also the air conditioning system to keep you cool during those hot summer days. Other than that, Volkswagen has added a “Timo” or Alcantara leather upholstery and a better sound system compared to the stock model.
Power of the Volkswagen Caddy Edition 30 comes exclusively from a 2.0-liter TDI engine which is capable of delivering 140 HP (103 kW). The vehicle is able to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 10 seconds and can return 47.1 mpg UK. When fitted with the optional DSG transmission, it will hit 62 mph in 10.1 seconds and have a fuel efficiency of 44.8 mpg UK.
