Volkswagen has introduced the slightly more rugged version of the up! which goes by the name of cross up! It will get its public debut next month at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Looking a lot like the concept saw in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Volkswagen cross up! benefits from black body cladding for the wheel arches, front and rear bumpers, side sills, and it has also been fitted with bumper trims and silver roofs.
It has a brand new set of 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in tires measuring 185/50. The interior cabin boasts door sills, leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake.
Also on the inside of this 2013 Volkswagen cross up! you will find chrome trims for the events, as well as a choice between dark grey or red seat trim available exclusively for this model. Under the hood is a three-cylinder gasoline engine rated at just 74 hp (55 kW). This power unit has been connected to a five-speed manual gearbox which sends the horsepower to the car’s front wheels – just like in the regular version of the up!
Volkswagen has announced that in Germany the cross up! will be available starting with 13,925 EUR.
