We now have the short list for the World Car of the Year finalists, with the winners being announced at the end of the month during the 2013 New York Auto Show. For the title category, many popular cars will fight for the award, like the Volkswagen Golf VII, Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S / Toyota GT 86, Porsche Boxster / Cayman, along with the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
As for the award called World Performance Car of the Year, candidates include the Porsche Boxster / Cayman, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, along with the aforementioned Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S / Toyota GT 86.
We should also mention the finalists for the World Car Design of the Year which include the Mazda6, Jaguar F-Type and the Aston Martin Vanquish. Last but not least, for the World Green Car of the Year there will be the Tesla Model S, Renault Zoe and the Volvo V60 Plug-In Hybrid fighting for the award.
