2015 Subaru Legacy revealed ahead of Chicago Auto Show debut

It was only about two days ago when several official images of the 2015 Legacy surfaced the web and now Subaru has fully revealed the model which is slated to go on sale this summer, following its public arrival this week at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. The vehicle comes with a so-called nosecone front fascia and adopts a steeply raked windscreen as well as LED taillights and muscular wheel arches. The 2.5i models come with an Active Grille Shutter system while customers will have the possibility of opting between either 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels.

Step inside the cabin and you will immediately notice the better design along with more premium materials. There’s a metallic trim combined with soft-touch plastics as well as an infotainment system that has a 6.2-inch screen. Subaru says the elbow, leg, shoulder and hip room have increased compared to the outgoing model.


The 2015 Legacy will be offered with a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine rated at 175 bhp and 174 lb-ft along with a larger 6-cylinder, 3.6-liter outputting 256 bhp and 247 lb-ft of torque. These two engines work with a Lineartronic CVT coupled to an all-wheel drive system.
