What we have here is BMW’s first ever X4 model which many consider as being a mini X6. It’s actually based on the X3 but adopts a rather coupe-ish roofline and a more aggressive exterior appearance. It features a prominent front grille, familiar headlights and a pair of L-shaped LED taillights. There’s also a pseudo-diffuser while the overall length has increased by 14mm compared to the X3. In addition, the BMW X4 is also 36mm lower while inside the cabin there’s a 40:40:20-split rear seat which if folded will extend the luggage capacity to an impressive 1,400 liters.
The 2015 BMW X4 will be powered by a 190 HP 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel engine along with a larger 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo diesel motor offered with 258 HP and 313 HP. On the gasoline side, there are two 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo mills with 184 HP and 245 HP, as well as a beefier 3.0-liter 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo outputting 306 HP.
BMW has announced the X4 is slated to enter production phase this spring and it will carry a starting price of $45,625.
