Avtoarena.si has managed to take several photos with a brand new 2013 Peugeot 308. A bunch of new Peugeot 308s were spotted in a parking lot of a promotion agency in Ljubljana, Slovenia where they were about to participate in the shooting of a commercial clip. The car will get its public debut in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show before it goes on sale immediately after that. Production will commence at PSA’s factory located in Sochaux, France. The all-new 308 will be riding on the EMP2 platform which has allowed the car to lose as much as 140 kg (308 lbs) compared to the model it replaces in Peugeot’s lineup.
The 2013 Peugeot 308 looks a lot like its smaller brother, the 208, but with a few styling cues borrowed from its German rival – the Volkswagen Golf VII. The interior cabin is also carried over from the 208 with a similar steering wheel and head-up instrument cluster configuration. The 308 also boasts a tall center console incorporating a huge 9.7-inch touchscreen display showing all relevant details the driver needs.
