2013 Seat Leon SC uncovered
Spanish automaker Seat has published the first official photos with the three-door version of the 2013 Leon which will be sold with the “SC” moniker. Set to make its public appearance for the first time in March at Geneva, the Leon SC has a 35mm wheelbase shorter compared to its more practical five-door sibling and has a 4.23 meters length.
The differences continue as it has a more raked roofline which makes it look sportier, just like any coupe out there should look in our humble opinion.
Seat has decided to carry over the engine lineup from the standard Leon which means you’ll be able to order the SC variant with any of the engines ranging from a 1.2-liter to a 2.0-liter. Output varies from the base 105 HP (77 kW) to the range-topping 184 HP (135 kW). It adopts a MacPherson strut front suspension while at the back it has either a torsion beam for the ones that have less than 150 HP (110 kW) while those with an output of more than 150 HP are configured with a multi-link configuration.
Seat will launch the ST station wagon version sometime this year which will be followed in 2014 by more powerful Cupra versions which will be available for the entire Leon lineup.
