Audi has announced this week the 2014 U.S.-spec SQ5 has a starting price of $51,900, not taking into account the $895 destination fee. Scheduled to go on sale this summer, the 2014MY SQ5 comes with 20-inch alloys, quad exhaust and Xenon Plus headlights. Inside the cabin it’s packed with a flat-bottomed steering wheel, aluminum/black wood trim, along with Alcantara/leather sport seats. Other noticeable features include a different gear knob, aluminum pedals, as well as optional goodies such as a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, ventilated front seats and Nappa leather upholstery.
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter V6 TFSI supercharged engine generating 354 HP (260 kW) and 470 Nm (346 lb-ft) of torque. The mill is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s proprietary quattro AWD system allowing the hot crossover sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
