2014 Cadillac CTS launched in New York
After releasing several official images, Cadillac has introduced this week at the 2013 New York Auto Show the facelifted CTS which comes with a bigger front grille, different headlights with an LED strip, a more rakish windscreen and a “trapped”. It also benefits from trapezoidal exhaust tips and can be fitted with 17- to 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside there’s an 11-speaker Bose sound system, carbon fiber / aluminum trim, authentic wood, as well as a CUE infotainment system. For more money it can be equipped with a head-up display, heated/ventilated front seats and a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The 2014 Cadillac CTS can be powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo with 272 bhp (203 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, a naturally-aspirated V6 3.6-liter pumping 321 bhp (239 kW) and 373 Nm (275 lb-ft) and a beefier V6 3.6-liter turbo churning 420 bhp (313 kW) and 583 Nm (430 lb-ft) of torque. Transmission choices include a 6- or an 8-speed automatic, while optionally available is the AWD system. The 2014 CTS comes as standard with a rear-wheel drive layout.
Scheduled to enter production phase later this fall, pricing of the refreshed CTS will be announced in the following months.
