Fiat launched last week in United States the 2014 500C GQ Edition which will be available in U.S. dealerships in the first quarter of next year in the following paint schemes: granite crystal, white and straight black. Motivation is provided exclusively by a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo power unit mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine is rated at 160 bhp (119 kW) and a maximum torque of 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) which should enable the stylish city car to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in the “low seven-second range.” It has a power-operated cloth roof retractable at speeds of up to 60 mph.
You can put the roof back up at speeds of up to 50 mph (80 km/h). The interior cabin has Alcantara inserts, sport seats wrapped around in black leather, along with a white leatherette center stripe. On the outside we notice 16-inch rims that have an attractive Hyper Nero finish with Rosso center caps. The front fascia has been changed as it now has beefier air intakes.
Fiat also applied a Gloss Nero finish on the parking lamp bezels, taillights and headlights, while on the B-pillar there are “GQ 500” badges.
