2015 Chevrolet Impala Bi-Fuel launched
It was yesterday when Chevrolet took the wraps off the 2015 Impala Bi-Fuel during the OPEC Oil Embargo + 40 summit where General Motors CEO Dan Akerson had the pleasure of introducing the special model. The car is powered by a bi-fuel engine which can run both on gasoline and on compressed natural gas (CNG). Chevrolet says the car is capable of switching to gasoline “seamlessly” when it runs out of CNG. If both tanks are filled to the maximum capacity, the car has a maximum range of 805 km (500 miles).
The 2015 Chevrolet Impala Bi-Fuel will be more affordable to operate when running on CNG and it will also generate less greenhouse gas emissions. Specific details about the car haven’t been released but we will find out more probably sometime next year as the model is set to be sold as a 2015MY.
