2015 Scion xB introduced with modest tweaks
The 2015 Scion xB has made its online premiere this week and can be had in United States from a starting price of $17,120, without taking into consideration the additional $770 for destination, processing and handling fees. The model is already on its way to dealerships and there aren’t many important changes compared to the 2014MY but it should be mentioned that from now on the vehicle will come as standard with a rearview camera offered as standard equipment across the range. Other tweaks include a new three-spoke sport steering wheel, a keyless entry system as well as power windows and a metallic trim.
The 2015 Scion xB also benefits from an infotainment system from Pioneer which packs a 6.1-inch touchscreen display. Under the hood there’s a four-cylinder 2.4-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that is capable of producing 158 bhp (118 kW) and a maximum torque of 162 lb-ft (219 Nm). Output is channeled to the wheels via either a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional four-speed automatic gearbox.
Regardless from gearbox choice, the 2015 Scion xB will return 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. It sits on 16-ich alloy wheels but at an additional cost customers can choose from 16 and 17 inch sets.
