2015 Tata Nano GenX gets power steering and automated manual gearbox
The 2015 Tata Nano GenX has made its debut this week and it comes with an array of enhancements. First and foremost, it has received an Easy Shift AMT automated manual transmission as well as an electric power-assisted steering (ePAS) system while the capacity of the fuel tank has increased to 24 liters. Moreover, the city car benefits from new connectivity features such as AUX, USB and Bluetooth while on the outside it has a revised front grille, smoked headlights and a tailgate spoiler. There’s also a new steering wheel and gear knob and other minor tweaks.
Power of the 2015 Tata Nano GenX will come from the same two-cylinder 0.6-liter engine producing 38 PS (28 kW) and 51 Nm (38 lb-ft). Working with the manual transmission, the vehicle will consume 4.2 liters / 100 km while with the automated manual gearbox it will need 4 liters / 100 km.
Tata Motors will offer the Nano GenX in XE, XM, XT, XMA and XTA trim levels, with pricing kicking off at 199,000 rupees.
