The 2016 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo has made its online debut and it’s now available on order from €108,600 for the sedan and €111,900 for the wagon. The engineers focused on the twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter engine which is now capable of generating 600 PS (441 kW) and a maximum torque of 800 Nm (591 lb-ft). Thanks to the extra punch, the B5 duo will run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 4.2 seconds before topping out at 204 mph (328 km/h) which puts both the sedan and wagon at a verge of supercar performance. Fuel consumption stands at a decent 9.5 liters / 100 km with corresponding CO2 emissions of 221 g/km.
The 2016 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Sedan and Touring models now have a revised suspension with electronically-adjustable dampers along with active roll stabilization. All cars come with a limited-slip differential and can be optionally fitted with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system which is 17 kg lighter than the standard one.
Customers can also opt for an upgraded fixed-caliper braking system and Alpina says all cars get Merino leather seat upholstery as well as a piano black trim.
Deliveries of the 2016 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Sedan and Touring are expected to start at the beginning of next year.
