The 2016 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo is making its debut and is essentially a regular production version of the Edition 50 model introduced earlier this year. It’s available in both sedan and wagon body styles with power coming from an upgraded V8 4.4-liter bi-turbo engine that is capable of generating 600 PS (441 kW) and a maximum torque of 800 Nm (591 lb-ft). Thanks to the extra punch, the car will do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) task in 4.2 seconds and will keep on going until hitting a maximum speed of 328 km/h. Fuel consumption stands at 9.5 liters / 100 km with corresponding CO2 emissions of 221 g/km.
Besides the stronger engine, the 2016 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo also has a sports suspension featuring electronically-adjustable dampers as well as active roll stabilization. All the cars come as standard with a piano black interior cabin trim, Merino leather upholstery and a limited slip differential. At an additional cost, buyers can opt for a fixed-caliper high-performance braking kit and an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system which is 17 kg lighter than the standard one.
It’s already available on order and pricing starts at €108,600 for the sedan and from €111,900 if you go for the wagon.
