2016 Chevrolet Equinox officially revealed
The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox has made its official debut today on the eve of the Chicago Auto Show. It’s scheduled to go on sale this fall with a redesigned front fascia encompassing a dual-port grille and revised projector-beam headlights while the LT and LTZ models come with LED daytime running lights. It rides on fresh 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels and benefits from a tweaked rear bumper and modified taillights. The tailgate has also gone through some changes and if you order the optional V6 engine the facelifted Equinox will come with a sporty dual exhaust arrangement.
The interior cabin has been carried over from the 2015MY but Chevrolet has added more chrome trim, better upholstery and an updated center stack with a shelf. As standard equipment from now on, the Equinox gets a Color Touch infotainment system equipped with a 7-inch screen.
The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox is motivated by a 4-cylinder 2.4-liter engine rated at 182 bhp (135 kW) & 172 lb-ft (233 Nm) or by a beefier V6 3.6-liter motor developing 301 bhp (224 kW) & 272 lb-ft (368 Nm).
