2016 Mercedes SL caught on camera
The 2016 Mercedes SL facelift has been spotted undergoing testing on public roads in Germany. The high-end roadster is preparing to receive a mid-cycle refresh which will bring some subtle revisions to the front and rear bumpers while the taillights are going to have an all-red look. We also notice the slightly modified exhaust tips while up front we know there are going to be new graphics for the headlights along with a tweaked front bumper. Mercedes-Benz will also be installing its “upside down” front grille while the side profile is going to remain virtually unchanged.
As far as the interior cabin is concerned, the 2016 Mercedes SL facelift will receive an array of updates such as new upholsteries and trims, the latest generation infotainment system along with a more generous array of safety & assistance systems while the list of available equipment could be expanded to include more standard and optional kit, depending on selected trim.
It is believed Mercedes-Benz will start taking orders for the facelifted SL (R321 generation) in December this year which means a reveal will occur soon than that. Chances are a public debut is scheduled to for mid-September during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.
