Following the introduction of the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean Bugatti and the Jean-Pierre Wimille, Bugatti is back in action with its third model included in the Les Légendes de Bugatti series which will comprise a total of five special models based on the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. This latest edition will be limited to three units and each car will have a starting price of 2,09 million euros before taxes. It pays tribute to Meo Costantini, one of Ettore Bugatti’s friends and also a man who was chief of the Bugatti factory race team and also drove a Type 35 to victory twice at Targa Florio.
Its heart and soul will be the same quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine unleashing 1,200 HP and 1,500 Nm which is enough to propel the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.6 seconds en route to a top speed of 253 mph (408 km/h).
The car features a few styling references to the aforementioned Type 35 and also has the Targa Florio track configuration painted on the rear wing’s underside. As you can see, the car has a bespoke paint scheme which itself is a reference to the classic blue racing colors of France.
