Meyers Manx introduces the Manx V prototype

Meyers Manx has just unveiled the Manx V prototype which is scheduled to enter production in the “near future” with a tubular frame chassis as well as a composite body. The vehicle has received 17-inch front and 18-inch alloy wheels and according to manufacturer it represents a throwback to the original model but it doesn’t look as rugged. They say the vehicle has all the attributes to qualify as a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle / Low Speed Vehicle which means that in some states it would be considered a street-legal vehicle.

Power of the Manx V comes from an electric motor generating 83 bhp which works together with a LifeMnPO4 battery that has a capacity of 10 kWh. Tipping the scales at 779 kg, the prototype can achieve a maximum speed of 62 mph.
