Highly Anticipated 2015 Challenger

The new 2015 Dodge Challenger, due in the third quarter of 2014, looks absolutely amazing.

Not only will its performance and styling be outstanding, but Dodge has given it an array of modern electronic features for performance, safety, and comfort.

The most important part of the new Challenger is the engine.

The base engine for the new Challenger is the 3.6L Pentastar V6, which provides 305 horsepower.

If that’s not enough, Dodge is offering the 375-horsepower 5.7L HEMI V8.  However, drivers who truly need maximum performance will want the 6.4L HEMI V8, which delivers a staggering 485 horsepower.  All three of these engines can be mated to a six-speed manual transmission, or Dodge’s TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission.

The new Challenger is more than just an excellent drivetrain – the metal wrapped around it looks amazing too.  Styling cues from the original 1979 Challenger – visible in the headlights, grille, taillamps, and available “shaker” hood – mean the new Challenger looks like nothing else on the road.  Refined body styling means the new Challenger seems both sleek and menacing, and looks aggressive without appearing overly bulky.

Dodge hasn’t skimped on technology in the new Challenger either.  An 8.4” touchscreen on the center stack allows access to the Challenger’s Uconnect system, enabling the driver to play media, access 3-D navigation, or even turn the vehicle into a rolling Wi-Fi hotspot.  Most importantly, the touchscreen also gives access to the Challenger’s new Drive Modes system.  This system lets the driver configure the vehicle’s drivetrain and chassis dynamics, or choose from a number of factory presets.  The new Challenger also has over 70 available electronic safety features, including Blind Spot Monitoring, Forward Collision Warning, and Adaptive Cruise control – style and performance don’t have to come at the cost of driver safety.
